| Back from a xanga hiatus - just been too busy! But real quick, here's a funny story -
So yesterday I was at the gas station, and Bethany was with me. Usually when I'm pumping gas and she asks me what I'm doing I usually say, "Mommy's car is eating dinner".
Yesterday, after I told her that, she asked me, "Mama, how come your car never grows bigger?" In chinese, it was, "Mama, wei suh muh nee de tsuh dse doe bu dsang da ne?" I chuckled, but couldn't think of a good response.
| For the 3rd year in a row, during Fall (right before Halloween) my PCC Parent Ed class has taken a trip to Descanso Gardens. That's probably the only "tradition" we have had going on during Fall for Bethany. But it is so interesting seeing the change and growth of this little baby, to toddler, and now she is like a little girl!

| Here are some recent pictures of Bethany...
You might not really be able to see it, but she has stuffed her doll, Casey, in her shirt, to be like mommy =)
Here she is holding Casey and singing a lullaby to her.
I think she'll be a good sister =).
Oh, and I finally got a few pictures of her sleeping. These days, for her naps, I put her in her crib, and then leave, and don't go back in until she wakes up and calls for me, so I never get a shot of that PEACEFUL LOOKING ANGEL, before she wakes up and bounces off the walls again. So one day she fell asleep in the car even before lunch, so when I brought her in, I just laid her down on the couch, and pulled my camera out to try to capture her long eyelashes! Probably like me, she will not have long lashes when she grows up, so this is something for her to remember it by!

| So I have been totally MIA on this recently. I think mostly it has to do with the fact that now that Fall is here, our mommy & me classes have started again, MOPS has started again, and our schedule is much more packed. But here is an update about the Liu's since summer: - We are expecting!!!..... a GIRL! I'm due Feb. 2nd, 2009. I'm HUGE already. Just HUGE. With Bethany, I don't think I was showing (I was wearing regular pants) until about 5 months. I think this time I had to buy maternity pants at 3 months! argh! So it was a tough summer, with morning sickness, and still having to take care of Bethany during the day (not like the 1st pregnancy where I was working, and could just hide in my cubicle... or... sneak away to my car to take a nap in the afternoon... ). But now that I'm well into my 2nd trimester (oh wait, have I started my 3rd trimester already?!?!? eek!), things are MUCH better. This girl moves a lot though, just like her older sister! Oh no, here come the crazy Liu girls! hahah sigh.
- Bethany is now 2 1/2 years old, and for the most part, is a pleasure to be around. She is talking in sentences in Chinese, and even picking up English phrases; we have NO CLUE where she gets it from. She was potty-trained this summer (I'm sure the majority of readers have no interest in that information, unless you are a parent of a toddler, hehe), and is a complete busy body, minds everyone's business, wants to know EVERYTHING that is going on, kind of a kid. I think she takes after her dad =). We've been training her to help around the house, which she is REALLY eager to do (thank you Lord!), so now when she comes in the house she takes off her own shoes and puts it next to the door, helps to set the table, helps us throw things away in the trash can, helps us carry light items, takes out her own milk from the refrigerator, throws her own laundry into the basket, and helps me when I (un)load the washer/dryer. I am trying to do as much "preparatory" training as possible, for when #2 arrives.
- We are passively actively looking to buy a house. We're not completely active, just kind of active. We would love to have a house where we can have our jr. high/high school fellowship over more, and a place where people can just feel very comfortable fellowshipping. So pray for us.... If everything goes smoothly, and we move, Alex will have a VERY tough commute = more tired, so we are not completely sure that this is God's plan for us. Plus, it will be hard to move from an area that we love and have grown attached to. =P
So, that in a nutshell, is what has been going on with us. What's been going on with you? Pictures to come next time!!!
